What November is like in Bermuda

November brings mild, breezy days with highs near 74F (23C). For most visitors the beach season is over, since the water cools and the wind picks up, and some hotels and beach services start to wind down. Crowds are thin and prices keep falling, while museums, caves, forts, and golf courses run as usual.

November suits golfers, walkers, and couples who want a calm, affordable break close to the East Coast. Families who want swimming should look at May to October. Hurricane season officially runs to November 30, but storms are much less common this late.

Make the most of November

What is especially good about Bermuda this month.

01

Golf weather

Mild temperatures and easier tee times make November one of the nicest months to play Bermuda's courses.

02

Forts without the crowds

Fort St. Catherine in St. George's and the Dockyard forts are quiet and easy to explore at your own pace.

03

Falling hotel rates

Prices drop as the month goes on, and Thanksgiving week can be good value for East Coast travelers.

What to pack for November

  • A windbreaker
  • A light sweater or fleece for evenings
  • Walking shoes
  • A small umbrella

Our timing tip

Check which hotels, beach clubs, and ferries have moved to off-season hours before you book, since closures start creeping in during November.

Beat the crowds

  • Check the cruise schedule: Dockyard, Horseshoe Bay, and Hamilton are much busier on days when big ships are in port.
  • Go to Horseshoe Bay before 10am or late in the afternoon, or walk along the south shore to quieter coves.
  • Choose May or June over July and August for warm water with fewer crowds and slightly lower prices.
  • Consider October for warm water and thin crowds if you can accept hurricane risk and book flexibly.

Know before you go

  • From about November to March, some hotels close for refurbishment, many beach services shut, and some restaurants and ferries operate on reduced schedules.
  • Visitors cannot rent regular cars in Bermuda. Use buses, ferries, taxis, or rent small electric vehicles or scooters.
  • Public holidays, including Bermuda Day, National Heroes Day, and the two days of Cup Match, close many shops and offices.
  • Hurricanes can close the airport and ferries for a day or two. Bermuda usually recovers quickly, but plan flexible dates from August to October.
